How does the "supply process" work at Sutter Health?

Q: What was the goal of Sutter Supply?
A:  The goal was to control medical supplies and gain insights into usage similar to what Mira Prep provides for meds.
 
Q: Is "Sutter Supply" basically just using Mira Prep for supplies vs meds?
A: Yes, however, it has it's own tile on the IG Portal.
 
Q:  How are they encoding the supplies and building their formularies?
A:  They are tagging individual supply items (not whole boxes) and adding these items to trays which have pre-defined formularies like meds. Unlike meds, items cannot be imported - - they must all be added using the Custom Item feature.
 
Q: Are there special supply reports or workflows?
A: No, they use the same Reports and Workflows as Pharmacy Mira Prep clients.
 
Q: How does the Sutter Supply Team & the Sutter Pharmacy Team stay in sync?
A:  This has been a stumbling block out of the gate, but as of the week of 1/19/2026, Leo will be reaching out to Sutter Supply and beginning to include them in the monthly Sutter Operations Meetings along with Tina Lee from Pharmacy.
 
Q: Will the next release containing code for the Central Distribution Centers (Wellstar, Inova and IU) address any of the issues on Sutter Supply's enhancement list?
A:  Yes, Sutter will benefit from the UTC fix and the Facilities with AD Dropdown fix.
