Rady Children’s Hospital Reduces Inventory and Saves Money With RFID
Chris Abe, Senior Director of Ancillary and Support Services at Rady Children’s Hospital in San Diego, CA, stated that RFID had empowered her team to better manage the expensive and high-turnover drugs in their hospital’s anesthesia and OR carts.
She also said that because RFID had enabled them to reduce their inventory of a variety of drugs throughout the hospital, they saved $48,756 in restocking costs alone.
